Where it all started……

I was probably 10 years old when I first came across this picture in a set of Colliers encyclopaedia 1976 edition that my father had bought. I can remember looking at this image, it was the first time I remember being “moved” by a photograph, there was something about the light that caught me at first. I couldn’t tell if was real or if a painting. This is where my interest in photography started.
